![]() Jean Bart does have Main-Battery Reload Booster, but all it really does is cut the time it takes to fire two volleys from 26 to 13 sec at a base value, allowing you to get in two extra volleys in a short amount of time. Gunwise, Salem has better AP angles, super-heavy shells, and a blistering RoF for 203mm guns. Jean Bart can get decent concealment, but without CE, she is pretty visible. +1 to both Salem and JB.Ĭoncealment wise, Salem has competetive concealment compared to her counterparts, even without CE. Maneuverability wise, both ships are quite nimble for their size compared to their counterparts. In short, they can bow tank AP shells from their respective counterparts, but suffer when put under constant HE fire. ![]() Both are relatively weak to heavy cruisers and light cruisers with IFHE. +1 for both Salem and JBīoth have armor that can be overmatched by common threats: 406mm for Salem, and 460mm for Jean Bart, which with how common Musashi and Yamato are at tier IX-X, they'll slap you around quite a lot. Both ships have a good consumable, so it's a tie: +1 for both Salem and JB.īoth have god-tier AA. Salem has a super heal in exchange for a lower range radar (though I'm not sure if this is subject to change when the radar standardization hits) and the other has a main battery reload booster that allows you to squeeze out two volleys in half the time. One is an alternative to a already notoriously good tier X cruiser, the other is an upgraded, uptiered tier VIII fast battleship. Salem is the easier ship to play, Jean Bart is the harder ship to play. Originally posted by s u p e r g r a m p s:
